First Time for Everything
I've always said I would like to just spend a day in bed. Literally.
Well today I did it.
I've watched movies on my laptop. I finished Water for Elephants (pretty good read). I slept. However, my back is killing me from laying down. Weird. I know.
Oh well I can say I've done the all day in bed thing..... Now tomorrow I'll be up early and running errands. Can't keep my butt in bed for two days....or could I??

Gym Bound
I hit a weight mark that was most definitely NOT a goal. I am not proud of it and am disgusted with myself. I have zero reason to have "let myself go."
This awful situation has made me start going to the gym. Its sad that it took this to get me there. Sad that after years of abuse to my body, I am on the verge of a breakdown.
I've started going to the gym tonight and I can already tell I am going to be sore tomorrow, but frankly I don't care. I will be going from now on. My goal is 70 lbs lost. Yes its a lot. I have trashed more food than I care to think about and have completely overhauled my fridge and pantry. I am planning meals out and while I may think I am hungry...water will be my staple.
I can't do this anymore. I am not this woman trapped in a fat girl body. I don't have to be a barbie, but being un-happy in my skin and wanting to cry because I struggle with my clothes is no longer going to be an option.
I will get back to my freshman year of college days. Fit, healthy and cute. I want to be able to smile in pictures and not see my double chin. Challenge starts now. Goal 70 pounds, 8 lbs a month. I think its doable.

Tater Tot Topped Casserole
1lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb. (1/2 of a 32 oz pkg) frozen tater tots
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Brown meat with onions in a skillet, stirring occasionally, drain. Spoon into 8 inch square baking dish.
Mix soup and milk, pour over meat mixture. Top with layers of mixed vegetables, cheese and tots.
Bake 45 minutes, or until potatoes are golden brown and casserole is heated through.
It may not look into great in the bowl, but it is YUMMY!!!

Super Bowl XLV
I am a huge football fan, and if you know me....I'm a die hard Eagles girl. I love my birds.
This year was a great year watching the return of Michael Vick, and yes I actually like the guy. He did some awful things, but he did his time for the crime and is an advocate against dog fighting. As a football player, the man in incredible. I love Desean Jackson...seriously he is so tiny but so fast! Love #10!
When the Eagles won the NFC East, I knew that was the end of the road. We were good, but we weren't good enough to go the distance. When Green Bay Packers beat the Eagles in the first round of the Playoffs I declared they would go on to win it all. (my dad, a huge Packers fan disagreed).
Guess what...I think I should start betting, because if you are in your own little bubble....
I'm excited that Aaron Rodgers and the entire team of Green Bay shut down the Shitsburgh Squeelers and Ben Rapistburger. Suck it Pittsburgh. Lombardi trophy is headed back to the team that started it all.
GO PACK GO!!!!!

I'm SUPER lucky
I have two.

I met Danielle in February 2000, at a sorority rush event. Fast forward 11 years and God Bless her, we are still best friends and like sisters.
I met Tamera through Danielle in Summer 2001 (I think). Nearly 10 years later and I love that chick. She constantly makes me laugh.
I am grateful that these two lovely ladies are in my life and I am even more grateful that we are all best friends together. I don't know what I would do without these women.

makes about 3 dozen small cookies
3 T butter

Melt the butter on the stove. Add the sugar, cocoa and milk and stir well. Add the peanut butter and chocolate chips. Stir. Add the oats. Stir again.
With wet hands, form little balls of dough and on a wax paper lined plate or pan. Refrigerate for thirty minutes until hard.
