32 Weeks!

How far along? 32 Weeks...55 days to go!  Officially in my 8th month!
Baby Size: Baby is the size of a jicama or squash!
Total weight gain: 9lbs.

Maternity clothes? Yeah. Much more comfortable
Stretch marks? Still clear!
Sleep: Not horribly. Really run down.
Best moment this week: Our baby shower was this past Saturday and it was amazing how many people came for our baby girl. She definitely made out like a bandit.
Miss Anything? Being able to move easily. Her butt is basically in my ribcage putting pressure on my lungs, so breathing is harder.
Movement: Lots of rolls. She is camped out on my right side in my rib cage and its super uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Fruit, Cereal, Cupcakes (I might have eaten several at my baby shower)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Found out on Monday that I am having Braxton Hicks.
Symptoms: I pulled a groin muscle on my left side with all the walking and standing. My lower back hurts and just am generally uncomfortable.
Belly Button in or out? Still in...but flatter
Wedding rings on or off? Depends on the day.
Mood: Ready for baby girl to come....gotta keep her cooking, just increasingly more ready.
Looking forward to: Our second round of maternity pictures this weekend and my cousin's wedding in WV next weekend. Also trying to finalize the nursery and really can't wait to see it all come together.

31 Weeks!

How far along? 31 Weeks
Total weight gain: I'm thinking I'm up to 10 lbs. Not stressed about it though.

Maternity clothes? Tons of Maternity clothes.
Stretch marks? Still clear...fingers are crossed!
Sleep: I hate sleep
Best moment this week: Getting our maternity photos done! Our photographer was the one who took all our wedding pictures nearly a year ago. So crazy. We had a blast. A few sneak peaks below.
Miss Anything? My shoes. My feet have officially grown at least 1/2 a size. Thankfully my husband is pretty awesome and bought me a new pair of knee high boots.
Movement: Lots of body moves and rolls. It must be getting tighter in there!
Food cravings: Fruit, Fruit, Fruit. Salad, Salad, Salad. Kiddo loves her some fruit and salad.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I had some pretty severe lower back pain and pelvic pain after our maternity shoot (thinking 3 hours on my feet was probably not a great idea). I'm okay today, just really tired.
Belly Button in or out? Still hanging in there.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy, Testy, Sad. I get the range.
Looking forward to: My mom comes in on Wednesday evening! I can't wait to see her. My baby shower is this weekend and I am super excited to see some of my family and friends.

30 Weeks!

How far along? 30 Weeks...I can't believe that 26 weeks ago...I knew we were having a baby!
Baby Size: Our little lady is a whopping 4 lbs.
Total weight gain: Looks like I'm staying right around 6-7lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yup. As always.
Stretch marks? No...thankfully!
Sleep: I was really sick last week, but thankfully on the mend. Still congested so I have been sleeping with my mouth open which makes me feel even drier.
Best moment this week: Getting to see our baby girl at the doctor's this afternoon and seeing her yawn!
Miss Anything? Being able to bend over. It's seriously a chore to pick something up from the floor.
Movement: She still loves to roll around in there, how she has room, I have no idea. I feel like a part of her has been camped up in my right rib cage for a week now. Uncomfortable! (at the doc they confirmed its her butt in my rib cage)
Food cravings: Fruit! I could eat strawberries and blueberries like they are going out of style (sad they are really not in season). I also really really wanted a hot fudge brownie sundae the other day...do you know how freaking hard it is to find a SINGLE brownie.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope not really.
Gender: Beautiful Baby Girl
Labor Signs: Nope!
Symptoms: I have discomfort on my upper right side, and occasionally in my pelvic region. I'm not concerned.
Belly Button in or out? Still hanging in there!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Excited
Looking forward to: Next Wednesday and my mom coming to visit for my baby shower!! I can't wait to see her.

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 Weeks...77 days to go!
Baby Size: A butternut squash...which is definetly in season right now. So funny to see one at the store and think that's how big my daughter is.
Total weight gain: 5.8lbs as of last monday. I'm sure I'll get an update next Monday.

Maternity clothes? I live in my leggings and long sleeved t's or cardigans over a t-shirt. I really can't wait for it to get COLD!
Stretch marks? Nope. Barely have a Linea Nigra either.
Sleep: As I have managed to contract my husband's cold from last week....sleep has been rough the last few nights. I am up having to potty, coughing or just not being able to breathe.
Best moment this week: Spending time with my best friends and godson down in Southern, MD this past weekend. It was nice to relax, eat homecooked food and just chill.
Miss Anything? Not really.
Movement: Yeah she loves to move around when I am laying down the most.
Food cravings: Fruit! Baby girl LOVES her some fruit. I also really just want to eat soups.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Just some lower back pain. My left foot is swelling, which is just weird, but other than that, no other swelling. I think it's just her positioning in there and will mention it to the doc next week.
Belly Button in or out? Still hanging in there.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Still happy...except for when people come up to me and say "You don't look 7 months pregnant! Is your baby okay??" Seriously how about "How are you doing and how is the baby?"
Looking forward to:  Making sense of the nursery. I just walk into it and sit in the glider, realizing I have A LOT to do.

50 Things

50 Things I Want To Teach My Daughter

1. Dumbing yourself down isn't cute. Embrace knowledge.
2. Respect your body. You can't ask someone else to if you don't.
3. Modest is hottest.
4. Be brave. Try new things and don't be afraid to fail.
5. No matter what you do or where you go, your dad and I will always be here.
6. Despite what the world tells you, a kiss is special. Save it for someone who believes that too.
7. Don't tell someone that you love them until you're 100% sure you know what that means. Love is FOREVER.
8. Always admit when you're wrong. We learn from our mistakes.
9. It's OK to have regrets. We learn from those too.
10. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
11. Be quick to give a smile. It could brighten someone's day.
12. Always forgive. Nothing is unforgiveable.
13. Read lots and lots of books. Both for learning and for pleasure.
14. Take school seriously. There will come a day when you'll wish you'd worked harder.
15. Don't do things just because others are doing them. Be bold enough to go against the flow.
16. Figure out why you believe what you say you beleive in. Be ready to defend it to anyone that asks.
17. Feelings are OK but they're also not a solid foundation for our choices. Use both your knowledge of right and wrong and your gut to determine your course of action.
18. Never speak out of anger. Once something is said, it can't be unsaid.
19. You have no idea what others are going through. Be kind.
20. If your friends make frun of you for standing for what you believe is right, they're not your friends.
21. Don't EVER make a life decision based on a boy.
22. Also, don't let your emotions be determined by the relationship you're in.
23. We can't control what others do or say, but we can control our own actions.
24. Love everyone without expecting anything in return.
25. Always say thank you to those that extend help.
26. Work hard and do everything to the best of your ability. As long as you give it your all, I'll be proud no matter what the outcome.
27. Material things will come and go, but happiness in life is your decision.
28. No one is beneath you. Be humble.
29. You're going to make mistakes; that's expected. Forgive yourself and move on.
30. Find things that you enjoy doing and spend a lot of time doing them.
31. When you greet someone, look them in the eye and give a firm handshake.
32. Don't use your body and/or your looks to get attention. If someone doesn't like you without those things, they're not worth your time.
33. It's OK if we don't see eye to eye. You don't have to be just like me.
34. If someone points out a personality flaw in you, take a moment to step back and see if they're right. If they are, work hard to change it. If they're not, move on.
35. Sometimes we have to do things in life that we don't want to do. Get over it.
36. Be independent but don't be afraid to show your weaknesses. There is power and freedom in being honest and real.
37. Good friends are hard to come by. When you find them, make time to keep them in your life.
38. Don't live life out of fear. Make bold decisions and be confident enough to go higher. If you fall, it's OK. You'll always have a place to come back to.
39. Think about the consequences of your actions before you make them. Don't make dumb decisions for instant gratification.
40. "A wise man learns from his mistakes. An even wiser man learns from the mistakes of others."
41. You are capable of doing hard things. The reward is worth the effort.
42. You are beautiful.
43. Find pleasure in the little things.
44. Develope the ability to laugh at yourself.
45. Everyone in life has different abilities and talents. "Don't compare your outtakes to someone else's highlight reel."
46. Don't stress. God will come through for you.
47. Enjoy the outdoors. Nothing is more beautiful than God's handiwork.
48. Guard your heart. There will come a day when a worthy man (that has been pre-approved by your father and me!) will ask for your hand in marriage. You'll want to be able to give him all of your heart and not just what's left of it.
49. The painful truth is ALWAYS easier than a messy lie.
50. Nothing will make me love you less.

28 Weeks- 3rd Trimester!

How far along?: 28 Weeks...I can't believe it's finally the third trimester!
Baby Size: A rutabaga....which I have no idea what that is. She is roughly 2lbs plus
Total weight gain: 5.8 lbs according to my doc appointment this morning.
Maternity clothes?: Loving my leggings and longer t-shirts and tunics. It's finally turned cooler and I am LOVING it.

Stretch marks? Nope, but really hoping this stays the same for the next 12 weeks.
Sleep: I find that I get really dry at night. Turned on the table humidifier last night and instantly felt better. Here is to a more restful sleep
Best moment this week: Attending baby girls FIRST NFL game. It was awesome to see the Baltimore Ravens lay a smack down on the Houston Texans. Also I found out that I don't have gestational diabetes, which was thrilling. My blood pressure is amazing and the doc is thrilled at my weight gain.
Miss Anything? It's really hard to bend over and pick stuff up off the floor.
Movement: Yup, she loves to roll around and kick
Food cravings: I really want a salad....
Anything making you queasy or sick: I can't eat a lot or I get sick, but nothing major.
Gender: Beautiful Baby GIRL
Labor Signs: No...can't believe in the next 12 weeks give or take that this will change!!
Symptoms: Nope. Things have been pretty quiet
Belly Button in or out? Still in...but flatter
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: I've been in a pretty great mood recently. I can't wait to meet my daughter and am shocked to realize that in give or take 12 weeks, I'll be a mom. I really can't wait.
Looking forward to: Heading down to Southern, MD to hang out with my two best friends, my godson and eat cupcakes and dinner. Long overdue "girls" weekend and I am stoked.

**In other news....I've been told repeatedly in the last week that I don't look 7 months pregnant at all. While it's nice to hear that I am looking great, sometimes I still think I look "fat" instead of pregnant. I find it funny that some days people don't even notice I am pregnant (i.e at the football game, the security guard almost didnt let me take the elevator, because "I didn't even notice you were pregnant!!" ) to someone saying wow you are "ALL BELLY." I am thrilled that as it stands right now baby girl is healthy and active and I am doing everything I can for her and I am also thrilled that I won't have a ton of weight to lose after she is born, but sometimes I just wish I "looked" more pregnant.**
